Steady EU growth in poultrymeat

POULTRYMEAT production showed steady growth in the EU last year. Both broiler and poult placings were up by almost 3%.

Broiler expansion was pretty consistent across the board, apart from in the Netherlands where growth stumbled. Italy made little progress, where things are currently in a fairly dire condition.

Turkey growth was quite uneven across the Community and it was mainly the juggernaut of the French industry that drove things forward, plus a marked show of confidence in Germany.
