Student movement curb
WIDESPREAD restrictions on movements of agricultural students have been brought into force to limit the risk of spreading foot-mouth.
Timetables are being disrupted, students asked to stay away from classes, practical sessions cancelled and, in at least one case, whole campuses closed to curtail potential transmission of the virus.
Despite disruptions most students are expected to complete courses within the academic year. But there is mounting concern that job prospects for this years graduates will be restricted as the industry buckles under the strain of foot-and-mouth. *
