Sussex leads hedge technology
Your article (Farmlife, Feb 12) concerning hedgelaying at Corby was refreshing and of great interest. However, I am surprised that Mr Rutt says that he has never heard of hedges being created without planting, but using woodland fringes.
Here, in the depths of darkest Sussex, we ancient volunteers in West Dean Wood, in support of the Sussex Wildlife Trust, have been doing just that for the past 10 years. Sussex leads, the world follows!
