Tea Association targets Pakistan

MEMBER countries of the Tea Association of South Asia (TASA) want Pakistan to join their club.

Pakistan is the second largest market for tea after India and the association sees its membership as a means of preventing smuggling.

India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are the three main sponsors of TASA.

India and Sri Lanka are to leave the German Tea Council, which is losing business to the recently floated Tea Association of Germany.
