Tesco pledges more for British pork
By FWi staff
TESCO – the UKs largest retailer – claims it will “double” its support for British pig producers by launching a new bacon range on Monday, 20th July.
The launch of its “traditional” range means approximately 60% of all bacon rashers sold in Tescos 600 UK stores will be locally-sourced.
Tesco has dubbed its new range “traditional” because the rashers have been cured using an old fashioned method.
