Time to uncork producer power
TONY BLAIR is out promoting E-commerce yet, when the country looked like it was coming to a standstill, the public did not rush down to PC World to stock up on computer bits and pieces.
No, they went to Tesco`s and filled their trolleys with bread and milk.
Surely the message is there for all to see; as long as there is plenty, nobody cares, but when it`s scarce they go quite mad.
Supermarkets have acheived great power just by retailing food; what potential power do we have by supplying it?
