Triple Press makes service simpler

Knight Farm Machinery has extended its machinery line-up with the introduction of the Triple Press land packer.

Designed by Taylor-Gent, but manufactured by Knight at its Oakham factory, the Triple Press uses three-section ring segments – a design which avoids having to strip down an axle assembly to change broken ring sections.

In working widths of 6m, 8m and 10m (20ft, 26ft and 32ft), the trailed, hydraulically folding press uses two rows of rings which are said to resist cutting in, when used in less than ideal conditions.

Operating weight is 750kg/m and this can be increased up to 1250kg/m by adding up to four one-tonne ballast weights in the frames central section. Tilting the drawbar varies the pressure on each row of rings.n

Three-section rings are used on Knight Farm Machinerys Triple Press. Its a design which claims to avoid having to strip down an axle to replace broken rings. Working widths are 6m, 8m and 10m.
