We have nothing to apologise for
IT is typical of this countrys government to have apologised to the French for the spread of foot-and-mouth into Europe.
What about saying sorry to us? If they had taken the advice given to them last October about banning the import of meat from certain African countries, then we would not have the present crisis.
I, for one, am glad to hear that the French are now suffering and hope they continue to as much as we are.
After the way they have treated British producers over exports (refusing to lift a ban on British beef despite EU rulings, while they were still happy to send us BSE-infected meat), they deserve everything they get.
This may be a tough and unjust view to take, but UK producers and indeed everybody connected to the countryside are sick of being ordered around by an incompetent government and an unsympathetic Europe.
When is it going to end? Blair is more concerned with helping illegal immigrants, dole dossers and political correctness.
When I lose everything I have worked for Im going to want answers off somebody!
