THE new Keenan Klassik II forms an essential part of the Keenan System, which combines the feeder with machine service, Keenans nutritional service and the new Keenan food chain alliances.

Launched at this years Royal Show, the Keenan Klassik II is a state-of-the-art mixer, designed to increase your farms profitability. By utilising farm-grown and quality feeds in a home-mixed ration, feed efficiency is increased, ration cost reduced and animal health and performance improved.

After sixteen years of proven on-farm work and feedback from Keenan customers worldwide, several major design improvements have been made. The Keenan Klassik II has greater flexibility when feeding, greater retention of ration structure, faster mixing and reduced horsepower requirement.

Reliability and Longevity.

The mixing design of the Keenan Klassik II keeps power requirement to a minimum. Low horsepower means low friction, less stress on key components and these, coupled with heavy-duty build quality, give the Keenan an exceptionally long life. A recent survey of all Keenan feeders sold in 1988 showed that 75% of these machines are still working on the same farm eleven years on.

Garreth Davies, Farm Manager, Grosvenor Farms, Cheshire confirms these findings: "Our Keenan has fed 1200 cows, 700 heifers and travelled 28 miles a day for the past six years. It is the most reliable machine on the farm."

If a breakdown occurs it needs to be fixed immediately. Keenan operates 20 service points throughout the UK, ensuring that problems can be rapidly fixed and that animals get fed. This service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year…Christmas Day included!

One of the important new features on the Keenan Klassik II is its variable feed control (VFC). The guillotine door (a unique feature of the Keenan that separates the mixing chamber from the feedout auger) can be closed during feedout. This allows extra ingredients to be added in to the mix, making it easier to feed different groups of animals.
