Chudleys is offering farmers weekly readers the chance to win a trip to the States to see the best of the US triallers in action.

* Fly to Washington
Our lucky winner and a partner will fly to Washington DC on Virgin Atlantic. They will collect a hire car and head south to the rolling hills of Virginia. After checking in at the Microtel Inn in Richmond, they will be free to explore the sights of Virginia – historic Williamsburg is not to be missed, and the famous Blue Ridge Mountains are well worth an expedition.
The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast to set you up for the day, with the latest pay-per-view movies in all rooms, and an exercise room for working off all that good American food. But theres so much to see and do we are sure our winner wont want to spend much time in the hotel.
The Virginia State Fair runs from the 21st September to the 1st October so you could spend a day or two, or even your whole week absorbing the myriad sights and sounds that form American rural life.
The Virginia State Fair began 145 years ago and has grown into a huge spectacle. Theres everything you could imagine – livestock shows, horse shows, horticulture and crop exhibitions, arts and crafts shows, funfair and roller coasters. The sheepdog trials are a small part of this extravaganza, but a very important day for many dedicated handlers and their dogs. Its an event you wont want to miss.
