Zimbabwean exile receives ‘warning’
By FWi staff
A ZIMBABWEAN exile who has spoken out against Robert Mugabes regime from Britain has received a subtle letter of warning from his government.
The letter from the Zimbabwe High Commission told Albert Weidemann his messages had been followed with interest, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Mr Weidemann, deputy chairman of the Manchester branch of the Movement for Democratic Change, said he now feared for his safety.
The Telegraph says this is an example of growing intimidation reported by black and white Zimbabweans in Britain.
The plight of white farmers forced off their land or murdered has been given extensive coverage in the UK.
