By FWi staff
A WHITE Zimbabwe farmer has been killed and his son injured in what was described as a political hit reports The Times.
Henry Elsworth, 70, served as an MP under Ian Smith and president Mugabe died in a hail of automatic gunfire in a ambush on his farm at Kwekwe, south of Harare.
His son Ian was driving when he had to stop at a gate which had been locked. He was hit nine times, but is said to be in a stable condition.
He blamed the attack on war veterans.
Mr Elsworth was the seventh white farmer to be murdered since April.
