There is still time to enter the Pfizer Trainee of the Year Award, which is not just open to workers on broiler and layer units, but also those working with breeders, turkeys, ducks, geese and even in hatcheries.
A generous training grant – and the opportunity to celebrate success in style in London – awaits the 2009 winner of the award, organised in conjunction with Poultry World.
The entry form is simple to complete, aimed primarily at showing how your training has benefited your everyday work – and almost certainly improved your career prospects, too.
The deadline for entries is 15 May and then three entries will be shortlisted by a judging panel. The three finalists will then be profiled in turn in Poultry World.
Then it’s your turn as readers of Poultry World to vote for the overall winner, who will receive the £2000 training grant plus a £500 cash prize and engraved trophy at a prestigious ceremony at the House of Commons. The winner will also receive a day-and-night in London.
