Poultry World and sister title Farmers Weekly have produced a poster to help bolster consumer confidence in British meat in the wake of the horsemeat in beef scandal.
Anecdotal evidence suggests there may already have been some trading up by consumers to fresh meat, including poultry, and away from processed products. But some reports suggest the scare has put people off meat altogether.
The supermarkets we contacted were reticent about what impact the publicity has had on poultry sales, while proper data from the market intelligence companies is still not available.
