Are you under 40, making a splash in your egg- or poultry-related business and keen to further the interests of the poultry sector? Or do you know someone who is?
If so, then we want to hear about it – and soon. The Young Poultry Person of the Year Award, set up in the name of the late Clive Frampton and organised by the Egg and Poultry Industry Conference, is open for entries.
Candidates will be judged on the contribution they have made to their company in particular, and the poultry industry in general. Any projects or innovations they have initiated to enhance productivity or further the interests of the poultry industry will also be considered.
This is the third year the competition has been run. The inaugural winner was Matthew Davies of egg producer David Davies and Co, and last year’s prize went to Philip Hammond (pictured) of Crowshall Veterinary Services.
As well as the trophy, the winner will secure a free place at EPIC – to be held at the Celtic Manor Hotel in South Wales on 3 November – together with accommodation and a place at the banquet.
