Grade 2 arable land for sale by Informal Tender


The land is located approximately 1.3 miles (2.09 km) to the north of the A153 (Sleaford Road) at Tattershall Bridge and accessed directly off the Witham Bank road.

The land extends to about 104 acres (42.08 hectares) of predominantly Grade 2 arable land. There are two general purpose storage buildings, the first being of concrete framed construction and the second of steel portal frame.

According to the Soil Survey of England and Wales, the soils are of the Wallasea 2 association. These soils are described as deep stoneless clayey soils, calcareous in places. Some deep calcareous silty soils. Flat land with groundwater controlled by ditches and pumps. These soils are said to be suitable for the growing of winter cereals, some sugar beet, potatoes, cereals and vegetables.

The land is subject to drainage rates payable to the Witham First District Internal Drainage Board.
