Situated on the southern edge of Dartmoor National Park, Palstone Lodges is an exclusive, family owned development of luxury, eco-friendly holiday lodges enjoying an idyllic woodland-like setting.
Up to the minute in their design and specification, our lodges are beautifully crafted using solid wood, with full-length windows flooding the rooms with natural light. Their layout creates a feeling of welcome spaciousness and practical simplicity designed to interact with the amazing garden landscape at Palstone by “bringing the outside in”.
Our lodges also benefit from a high degree of privacy, seclusion, and a real sense of individuality, given their sensitive positioning and the apportionment of each plot; ultimately creating a series of individual, well-screened havens from which to enjoy the tranquil setting.
The development has been creatively landscaped and planted to an informal-exotic theme, with elegant grasses, individual shrubs, and established specimen trees many of which were planted over thirty years ago.
We provide a well-managed, relaxed, and secure holiday home environment. Unlike similar developments where you may find commercial subletting Palstone Lodges restricts the use to owners, their friends, and family.
With a Palstone Lodge you can truly just “turn the key” and start enjoying your unique holiday home immediately; whether it be for a midweek break, long weekend, or even longer holidays!
Located just outside the village of South Brent in the South Hams region of South Devon, Palstone Lodges are perfectly placed for the sea, moor, towns and cities of Devon, and indeed the entire West Country!
South Brent village centre is located approximately half a mile away, or just a 10 minute stroll; with its range of independent shops and active village hall. Pubs include The Oak, an award winning and pet-friendly inn, and The Pack Horse; a traditional village pub which also includes The Stables tea rooms. Within 5 minutes drive are both the Turtley Corn Mill, a renowned bar and restaurant set in 6 acres of grounds, and the award winning and historic Glazebrook House Hotel and Restaurant.
Local attractions include the historic South Devon steam railway, Becky Falls ancient woodland park, Totnes castle, Dartmoor national park, Buckfast Abbey, Dartington Hall, Greenway House (National Trust) and gardens (former home of Agatha Christie), and Berry Pomeroy castle to name but a few.
For golfing enthusiasts, Wrangaton 18 hole Golf Club is only three miles away. Established in 1895, it offers a unique experience with wonderful views over South Devon.
Walkers, cyclists, and horse riders are spoilt for choice with a huge array of trails and walks on our doorstep. Nearby there are also two course fishing lakes.
For those with children, there are a variety of child-themed local attractions including Dartmoor Zoo, River Dart Country Park, Totnes Rare Breeds Farm, and Woodlands Adventure Park.
The vibrant and quirky market town of Totnes, a hub for arts, culture and independent artisan shops; is only 7 miles away.
A little further, the beautiful south coast harbour towns of Brixham, Dartmouth, and Salcombe are all within a 20 mile drive, as are the long sandy beaches of Torquay and Bigbury.
Around 18 miles to the south-west is the Ocean City of Plymouth, with its aquarium, ancient Barbican and famous Hoe, Drakes Circus shopping centre, Theatre Royal, city museum and art gallery. 28 miles to the north-east is the Roman walled cultural City of Exeter, with its thousand year old cathedral, historical quay and Princesshay covered shopping centre.
