The nature of global milk price volatility and the recent downturn has meant many UK producers have been forced out of the dairy sector.

However, it has helped to create a highly streamlined industry, with dairy farmers being encouraged to use ingenuity and entrepreneurialism to buttress and diversify their businesses for a time when prices inevitably drop again.

Farmers Weekly caught up with a number of producers from across the UK to ask them how are were preparing their businesses for volatile times ahead.
