What is Twitter?

Twitter is an online service which allows people to talk to each other and stay connected through exchanging quick messages which are a maximum of 140 characters long.

Messages are short and sweet, but can include links which redirect you to something of interest online.

You can sign up to ‘follow’ people you are particularly interested in and in turn people can sign up to ‘follow’ you.

If you spot a message in the feed which starts of with ‘@a name’ it means that the message is in reply to a question posed by someone else using Twitter.
