This neat BF-180 bedder-feeder from Hampshire firm Wessex gives you the option of bedding and feeding from the same machine. It fits on the front of a telehandler and can feed out from either the left or the right.
An extendable loading arm lets you pick up the bale. Then you have a choice of either feeding round bales out on to the feed barrier or spreading the straw into yards. The company says that straw can be spread in buildings up to a distance of 7m.
There’s 30cm of side-shift available and different sized bales can be accommodated. An in-cab controller allows you to alter the speed and the speed of the bed-chain can be altered.
Cost is £14,495.
