Asda in High Court action over Parma ham
SUPERMARKET chain Asda will be in the Court of Appeal tomorrow (Friday) in a bid to stop Italian ham producers complaining to the European authorities about the slicing and packing of Parma ham in the UK.
Italian producers argue that, under Italian law, Parma ham must be sliced and packed in the Parma region.
Asda contends that this is not the case under European Union law.
