Australian commodities expected to fall
THE Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (Abare) expects agricultural commodity prices to fall by nearly 7% this year and by 4% in 2000.
It forecasts declines in grains, oil-seeds, sugar and wool to more than offset increases in the value of wine, cotton, dairy products and beef and veal.
