BBC gives One Man and His Dog its day

TOP people at the BBC are apparently back-tracking on plans to ditch the television show One Man and His Dog.

says a change of heart was detected during a meeting between Robin Page, the shows presenter, and senior BBC executives yesterday (Monday).

The BBC people have apparently agreed to a one-off programme billed as a “fond farewell” for the show, which features sheepdog trials.

The paper says the BBC may explore ways of keeping sheepdog trials on terrestrial television if the viewing figures are high enough,.
