Brazil lifts ban on GM soya
BRAZIL has approved commercial production of genetically modified (GM) soyabeans produced by Monsanto after a fierce debate in the government.
Novartis and AgrEvo are also testing a number of products in the country, including GM rice, maize and cotton.
They are yet to obtain government approval for commercial production..
