Buccleuch denies hunting is cruel
BRITAINS biggest landowner, the Duke of Buccleuch, has claimed that if he were a fox, he would prefer to be killed by hounds.
The Duke, whose hunt has been chasing foxes around Kelso since 1827, warned against a ban on fox-hunting.
He claimed that alternative methods to control the fox population would involve acute suffering.
