Bushmen win land after 20,000 years


THE South African government has handed over 62,728ha (155,000 acres) of land to descendants of the worlds earliest inhabitants.

The near-extinct San bushmen of the southern Kalahari have plans to raise rents from farmers on 40,470ha (100,000 acres) and from the parks board on 22,258ha (55,000 acres) in the Kalahari.
