Co-operation begins at home

CO-OPERATION is easier if it is done in the processing end – meaning on the farm, pooling machinery, fertilizers and so on.

In Finland, co-operation is even more difficult than in the UK, and the basic problem is the same – a handful of big buyers dictating the prices, and eager to import to keep prices low.

Jointly-operated machinery is a start in cutting costs.
