Gamekeepers get pagers to combat poachers

SOME 200 gamekeepers in Tayside, Scotland, are to get electronic pagers in an attempt to stop poachers, sheep rustlers and countryside criminals.

The gamekeepers will use the pagers to warn each other of any criminal activity. It is hoped that the scheme will eventually be extended to other rural workers.
