Monsanto to push terminator
BIOTECH giant Monsanto will push on with sales and marketing of its “terminator” technology in the face of public opposition, says chief executive Robert Shapiro.
The technology prevents farmers from storing seeds by rendering them sterile if they are not planted immediately.
Mr Shapiro met senior executives at the firms headquarters, who were working out how to respond to controversy over the technology.
