OTMS payments increase
PAYMENTS for animals entered into the Over-30-Month-Scheme during July will increase by just under 1p/kg. OTMS rates will be 52p/kg liveweight for cows and 58.5p/kg for others. The increase is due to gains made by the k during June and were reflected in the reference exchange rate selected on June 28 of k1:£0.6498.
Disposals into the OTMS over the first half of this year were 369,000, a long way above last years level, although they were still 18% below 2000 levels. *
