Quartet thinking big

WORKING together will enable four independent pig consultants to combine their skills and pitch for larger projects than they would be able to individually, both at home and abroad.

Consultants Gerry Brent, Mick Evans, Paul Smith and Nick White have formed an alliance called Pork Chain Solutions, which will be co-ordinated by Geoff Nicholas.

Services provided by the new venture include benchmarking, budgets, cashflows, financial monitoring, training and building design. Speaking at the launch, Mr Nicholas said although government no longer had a stake in independent pig advice, the need for it remained.

"A single call from a client will enable me to assign work to a suitable consultant." &#42

whose expertise best matches their requirements. This will permit a project plan and quotation for the work to be prepared and agreed with the client."
