Ryegrass concern
CASES of herbicide resistant Italian ryegrass are increasing, and are often overlooked, says IACR-Rothamsted weed specialist Stephen Moss. "Watch out for ryegrass resistance. It is quite common, but frequently ignored." Growers doing that are storing up trouble due to the vigorous, competitive growth of the weed, he warns. "Resistant ryegrass is worse than blackgrass or wild-oats." *
