Sinn Fein puts CAP reform in Euro-manifesto

SINN FEIN, the political wing of the IRA, has made reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) part of its manifesto commitment for the European elections.

Gerry Adams, Sinn Fein president, said CAP reform would involve giving farmers with smaller holdings a basic income.

It also wants plans adopted to stop depopulation of rural communities.

Sinn Fein is the only party in Europe to contest elections in two separate jurisdictions.
