Spray your way out of grass staggers

COMBAT grass staggers in spring with a single application of Staggamag to grassland, says supplier Phosyn.

Spraying Staggamag at the critical time, a week before turnout, will increase magnesium levels in grass immediately without reducing palatability, it adds.

The product is said to stick to the plant with some absorbed into it to prolong magnesium availability, ensuring regular intake. It also contains copper and iodine according to the company.

Staggamag costs about £18.50/ha (£7.50/ acre) when applied at 10kg/ha (4kg/acre), costing £2.50 a cow (01759-302545, fax 01759-303650).
