A sexual health charity has been commissioned to make members attending this year’s annual convention more aware of sexual health issues.
Representatives from the charity, Brook, and the National Youth Agency (NYA), were on hand on Friday (28 April) to hand out advice about safe sex and provide free condoms.
With over 3,500 Young Farmer Club members in Torquay over the weekend, experts will also attend the Saturday night dance to drive home key messages about drinking and safe sex.
“It is always shocking to hear the sexual health statistics that are reported on the news and our members fall within the age categories referred to. We therefore have a duty to make them aware of the issues that may affect them,” said the National Federation of Young Farmers Clubs’ chairman of council, Kate Cross.
