Woodfuel course at discounted rate
Farmers and foresters interested in installing a woodfuel heating system can now take advantage of a discounted training course.
Shuttleworth College near Bedford has received funding to run the “ignite” training programme, which provides information on various aspects of the woodfuel supply chain and modern woodfuel heating systems.
Rural Development funding for the course through Woodfuel East means that farmers and foresters can attend for a heavily discounted price.
The next course to take place is the three-day Lantra Awards-accredited “Woodfuel Production and Supply” on 27-29 March. Hatley Park in Cambridgeshire will also host a one-day Woodfuel Quality Standards course on 19 March. The three-day course costs ÂŁ140 for eligible trainees and ÂŁ55 for the one-day courses.
