Dairy Event 2011: Spreadwise telehandler-mounted stirrer

Spreadwise has introduced what it believes to be the first telehandler-mounted slurry stirrer. Suitable for both lagoons and towers, the front-mounted implement is thought to be safer than rear-mounted versions due to better vision and is fitted with a 35hp hydraulic motor.

The impellor has been designed to move large volumes of slurry with the minimum amount of energy, says the company, and the telehandler will need to have a pump of 75 litres/min or more to power it. It costs £4,950.
