Cereals 2009: technicians promote new training scheme

Cereals 2009 gave a chance for technicians who are registered under the established LTA (Landbased Technicians Accreditation) scheme to show off the new initiative.

This industry-wide collaboration has seen competitive manufacturers working together to promote an independently-accredited scheme (through the Institution of Agricultural Engineers) with regular skills updating and testing. It is designed to raise the profile of dealership technicians and underline their value to the industry.

The scheme is supported by IAgrE, AEA (Agricultural Engineers Association), BAGMA (British Agricultural and Garden Machinery Association) and Lantra (Sector Skills Council for Landbased Industries).
