Muck North West sees interest in accuracy and capacity

Accuracy and capacity were two big themes behind this year's Muck North West, with manufacturers reporting increased interest in flow meters and weigh-cells for use both in slurry and muck applications.

According to Nantwich manufacturer Spreadwise, about 50% of their dribble bar applicators are now supplied with flow meters and spreader manufacturer Shelbourne Reynolds' latest model is available with GPS compatibility and weigher.

There's a continuing trend towards surface application systems, however Spreadwise reckon the drop in fertiliser prices has caused a shift in interest from injection to dribble bar systems compared to the same period last year.
