Denmark’s Agromek machinery show may not be the size of SIMA in France or Agritechnica in Germany, but it’s a key event in the annual diary.

If you want to see livestock (and especially pig) equipment or renewable energy kit like biomass boilers there’s no better place to go.

Denmark also has a number of well-known names – like Hardi, Kongskilde, Fiona. Bogballe, He-va, Samson and JF-Stoll - that are strong exporters to the UK and elsewhere

This year’s show put particular emphasis on automation and animal welfare. On the automation front, there was the world’s first mobile robot milker, a robot grazing system and even robot slurry scrapers.

On the animal welfare front, there were new systems for improving cow foot health, keeping underweight piglets warm, moving pigs by altering the ventilation fans and making cubicles more cow-friendly.
