This Kruuse Porcivet neoprene thermo-jacket for low-birth-weight piglets is designed to go on 24 hours after birth and stay on for 3-5 days as an alternative to using heat lamps.
It is adjustable and can be machine-washed at 30C and reused.
Tests on Danish farms showed that the number of weaned piglets rose by one piglet per sow, claims the company.
