The most popular models in JCB’s Fastrac range, the 3200 Xtra and 3230 Xtra now have new Sisu engines with SCR emissions control to add to the transmission and other upgrades introduced a year earlier.
In addition to a semi-powershift configuration with six powershift speeds in each range, the P-Tronic transmission also provides auto shifting and Xtra Drive, which allows the tractor to be brought to a halt and move off again using only the brake and accelerator pedals, while new Traction Assist and Hill Hold (which keeps the brakes on until drive takes up) have come with the engine upgrade.
Driver-selectable ‘power boost’ is available with the Sisu engine, which is said to be more economical than the Cummins unit used previously.
The 8280 and 8310 V-Tronic have 279hp and 306hp Sisu engines with a new ‘power moderation’ traction control feature to regulate wheelslip in the field. There are also additional functions for the CVT drive and JCB LiveLink telemetry is also available for remote monitoring and fleet management.
The Fastrac 3000 Xtra and 8000 Series tractors can now be had ‘Guidance Ready’ for easier auto-steer installation.
