McCormick Tractor
The process of replacing the McCormick XTX and TTX six-cylinder tractors has begun with the launch of the five-model X70 line-up.
Featuring the same 6.7-litre engine but with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) for emissions compliance, the new tractors have more power, especially when boost kicks in for pto and transport work, but are also said to have better fuel economy as a result of improvements to combustion efficiency.
Detail upgrades to the XtraSpeed transmission with its eight powershift speeds in four ranges have also been introduced, along with increased headroom inside the four-post cabin where a roof window lets in more light and improves upward visibility.
The McCormick line-up also features the new X60 Series replacement for the CX range. There are more powerful engines (including a power boost variant for the first time), increased lift capacity and spool valve fittings, and a locking front differential to go with a general increase in strength and durability.
The C-Max range gained a 102hp model with the most recent updates and the full range of T-Max models is now available in Britain addition to the single 92hp version offered previously. The T-Max is C-Max size but has a new transmission with more gears and a power shuttle, plus a more robust back axle.
