HGCA Recommended List 2011/12

Fifteen new varieties of winter wheat, winter and spring barley, oilseed rape and oats have been added to the HGCA Recommended List for 2011/12.

Hard Group 4 variety Santiago is the highest yielding variety on the Recommended List at 108% of controls, pushing Oakley into second position.

Three new Group 3 wheat varieties have been added to the Recommended List this year, offering slight improvements in disease resistance over leader Invicta.
