Spring drilling frenzy kicks off for eastern growers
Growers in parts of the country have begun the spring drilling frenzy, with many facing a monumental workload as the spring barley area is expected to be one of the biggest in 20 years.
Generally speaking, eastern growers have kick-started their spring campaign as soil temperatures begin to climb, while those in the West and further north (with some exceptions) are patiently waiting for conditions to improve.
