Three young American farming brothers, who parodied a party rock music video, have attracted more than 750,000 views on Youtube in less than a week.

The farmers recorded “I’m Farming And I Grow It” - a take-off of LMFAO’s “I’m Sexy And I Know It” – on their farm in Assaria, Kansas.

The video shows the Peterson Farm Bros rapping about cattle and crops while they carry out routine tasks.

Lyrics are synced to LMFAO’s backtrack and overdubbed, for example: “This is how I roll. I feed the cattle till their stomachs are full. Treat ‘em right, that's my belief. What's for dinner? I say beef.”

One of the brothers, Greg, who is studying agricultural journalism at college, came up with the idea as a way of promoting farming to younger people.

He recruited his younger brothers, Nathan and Kendal into singing and filming the video while their sister Laura did the camera work.

The Petersons posted the video on Monday 25 June. Within 24 hours, it went viral on YouTube and Facebook and had accrued 750,000 by Thursday 28 June.
