Correction

Like a lot of ranting old men, I hadn’t entirely got my facts straight in that last blog post.

I went to the BMW dealership on Saturday to investigate (coffee quality - 8 out of 10 and I’m a low marker).  I can only get 100% capital allowance against my income tax if I buy a new BMW 320ed saloon.  The BMW 320 estate doesn’t qualify because it emits more than 110g/km. 

So this rules out the new car purchase.  I’m not going to put my dog in the boot of a saloon car, I’m not Tony Soprano. 

I didn’t want a new car anyway.  I’ve ordered one of these instead and we will just have to look happy when the tax bill arrives.
