Second best was the pre-sale champion Edwern Damion Sunshine from Enchanted Holsteins. This Erbacres Damion daughter out of Edwern Stormatic Sunshine, a VG85 classified dam with a trio of 8000kg plus lactations in her record. She was also bought by the Brigham family at 3600gns.
Then at 3200gns was Dunnerdale Lou Aldina 3, a Jenny-Lou Marshall dauhter out of Dunnerdale Sam Aldina, a VG87 dam. This April 2008-born heifer sold having calved in July and was bought by J T Parkin, Barnard Castle.
Following that at 2600gns was Ridgefield Olympus Gremlin, a Ridgefield Olympus daughter out of Ridgefield Stormatic Gremlin from R C Rutter and Son. Bred from four generations of Ex and VG dams this was bought by T C Alderson and Son, North Yorkshire.
At the same price again was Hollowmoor Shottle Rhonda from J K and S Roberts. Sired by Picston Shottle and out of Hollowmoor Durham Rhonda, a VG88 dam, this close to calving heifer sold to M R Lee, Northamptonshire.
A brace also sold at 2500gns, with the first being Dunnerdale Damion Pretzel 2 from W W and D Boow. She is by Erbacres Damion and out of Dunnerdale Ignitor Pretzel and calved in early August. Buyer of this one was J and D Royal and Sons, Staffs. The second at this price was claimed by the same buyer and came from the same vendor. This was Dunnerdale Buckeye Aidina, a R-E-W Buckeye daughter out of Dunnerdale SS Aldina 5 and calved in mid-July.
BULLS
Top call in the bulls on offer was a 2200gns bid for Townhouse T Rex from SFR Farming. this is Ladino Park Talent daughter out of Riverdane Breeze Rapture and sold to E Thomas Cardigan.
Following that at 2000gns was Willsbro Radical from the Wills family, Cornwall. This is a MD-Delight Durham Atlas son out of Stardale Leader Roxy and was bought by J Collinson, Lancashire.

Also making this money was the reserve champion from the pre-sale show, Glenside Red Robin from John Forsyth. This is a Strathbogie Python son out of a dam by Castlecairn L A Lover and sold to E J Samuel, Weonards, Herefordshire.







Then at 22,000gns was Cowal Rob Roy, a Kelso Pavarotti son out of a ewe by Muiresk Northern Dancer. This one, consigned by Messrs K A and R
Then at 14,000gns was the first lot forward for the Rowandale flock of Darren McKay,
Just a couple of thousand guineas' less at 11,000gns was a bid for Clinerty Ronaldo from Brian Buchan's flock in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire. This one is ET brother to the £9000 ewe lamb sold to Deveronvale. 


Next at 11,000gns was Stainton WPS 1000031 forward from P K Woof,

Next at the same money was Glenside Rocket, whose dam is a great example of a Keltic Star ewe.
Then at 9000gns was Kelso Referee from Malcom Reid's flock in Kelso. This one is by Kelso Prostar, who was the ram that went unsold last year in Lanark at 45,000gns and out of a ewe by Baltier Mercedes.
Reserve spot here was taken by Alan Kelly with Killcastle Eric, a Mas Du Clo son out of Pelletstown Nickelle.
Reserve heifer was Titchburn Elegance from Donal Murray. She is a Wilodge Vantastic daughter out of Annadale Bliss.
Suffolks sold to a top of £860 for Mark Evans, Skipton, Texels peaked at £1000 for J T and J K Kelsall, Ingleton and Charollais sold to a high of £620 for D Whitcher, Whenby. (Richard Turner and Son).
Reserve supreme was a Charolais cross heifer from Alan Farlow, Garvagh. This one was Hillview Dora bred out of a three quarter Limousin heifer. Also bred by Sean McCloskey, she was champion at Balmoral, Ballymena and Ballymoney.
Calf champion under judge Arfon Jones, was a Charolais heifer from Patrick John O'Kane and son, Sean, Dunloy. This is a daughter of Carragh Cahir Bill and was homebred.
Reserve champion calf was another Charolais heifer, this time from Gerry Law and sired by Waterview Victorious and is out of a British Blue cow.
Winning the Butchers heifer award was a British Blonde cross from Nigel and Sandra Cochrane, Portadown, while the pairs champions were a brace of Charolais heifer from the McKenna Brothers, with a Charolais steer and heifer reserve from James Alexander.
Next best at 9500gns was Ballynahone Rambo, a son of 5200gns sire Mullan Playboy out of a Douganhill McFly daughter from R Henderson. This one sold to Keith Jamieson and R Black.
Then at 6400gns was Heathmount Rhinestone, a Kelso Oxygen son out of a dam by McFly from the McKinney Brothers. Taking this one home was James Morgan.
Making 3800gns was Derryvore Ranger from Owen Donohoe. This one is a Baltier Nailer son out of another McFly daughter and sold to Henry Gamble.
And just shy of that at 3600gns was the last lamb in the catalogue, Foyle View Remarkable from Michael Smyth. He is similarly bred to the 3800gns lamb, being by Nailer and out of a McFly sired dam. He was ET bred and was snapped up by Pat Farrell.
Standing reserve was Kilbride Farm Dora 34. from Billy Robson and family. This is a Cairnview Snazzy daughter out of Kilbride Farm Dora 21, a Seaview Prince Charming daughter. Second reserve was Cleenagh Alexis, again from Adrian Richardson. She is by Dripsey Super King and out of Cleenagh Vikki, an Omorga Murray daughter.

Then at 1550gns was the female champion from Kenneth Wilson. This was lot 27, a Cambwell OBE daughter which is out of a Pergill Monarch. She sold to Ian Green.
Making 1300gns was a Cherryvale Nijinsky daughter from Emma, Megan and Robert Shaw's Mounthill flock. She was lot 16, a daughter of a Mossvale Krackerjack sired dam. She was also bought by Mr Green.
Following that at 1200gns was the best from Murray Annett's pen, a Milestonehill Outlaw daughter, lot 51. She is out of a dam by Milnbank Lyon King and sold to K Jarvie.
And at 1000gns was another of Brian Hanthorn's, a Milestonehill O'Gara daughter, lot 38. This is out of a Loosebeare Imp sired daughter which was interbreed champion at Lurgan Show in 2008, he maternal sister was second at Castlewellan this year. Buying this one was Billy Dillon.
Aberdeen Angus
The junior championship was snapped up by Bunlahy Beatrice K246, a seven-month-old heifer calf bred by Messrs G A and D Reynolds, Ballinalee, County Longford. Sired by Young Dale Superior 14S, she is out of the home-bred Bunlahy Beatrice Y073.
In the male section the Senior Bull Champion Haven Cavalier from E.L Lewis & Sons, Dilwyn, Herefordshire came out top as the Grand Male Champion.
Andrew is also offering Pandora, a November 2009-born Limousin cross heifer which was champion at Black Isle and reserve interbreed at the same event.
Barry's second is Bumble, a November 2009-born Limousin sired heifer which was reserve female at Echt, reserve calf at New Deer, reserve calf at Banchory, female and reserve crossbred champion at Turriff and calf champion and reserve crossbred champion at Keith.
Also forward will be the crofters champion from the Sutherland and Black Isle Shows, an October 2009-born Limousin sired heifer from John Smith, Brora.
Leading the ram lambs at last weekend's Chelford Elite 

Next best ram at 1200gns was a lamb from Simon Wright. This Tullyvallen J2 son, Wrights Krakatoa, is out of a dam by Bruiser and stood breed champion at Devon County Show this year. He sold to J Smithson, Kirkby Stephen.
Then at 850gns was a shearling from David Jane, Broadwood Jake. This Broadwood Dynamo son is out of a dam by an imported French sire and was bought by J Charlton and Sons, Cleator Moor.
Mrs Imlah re-invested some of her earnings when buying a shearling from David Jane at 650gns. This was Broadwood Jason, another Dynamo son. He is out of a Garlic Freighter daughter. Also at this money was another from Mrs Imlah's own flock, Bennachie Knockout, a Ruval Franko son. He went to A M and P M Bowman and Son, Kirkoswald.
Making 1100gns was a full sister, Broadwood Jaffa when selling to J Redfern, Leek.
Then at 700gns was Broadwood Jersey, a Carscreugh Kingpin daughter out of another Dynamo daughter. She sold to P M Howie and Son.
At 1100gns was a Strathisla St Nicholas son from Mark Evans, he is out of a Strathisla Shirocco sired dam.
And another from the same home by the same sire made 1000gns, this was out of an Everton Forever dam.


And making 3500gns was Clary Naevus, an Eskdale Lionheart son which found a new home with John Mellin.




Hitting the headlines at 10,200gns was the December 2009 born Priestland 4955 Gold Fifi ET consigned by Iain and Joyce McLean from Bushmills,
Two others from Gavin made 1000gns, the first being Inveresk Northern Exposure, an Artnagullion Layabout son with the second Inveresk Notorious, a King Kong son. 
Meanwhile, another full brother made 1200gns. So far there's a good solid trade in the shearlings with not much being sold at less than 500gns.
Then at the same money was Woodies Perfection, a Viagrow son.
A full ET brother then sold for 2000gns. Then at 2500gns was Clary Professor, another Leap Frog son. Making 4500gns was Clary Platform, a Eskdale Lionheart son.
And at 1100gns was a full ET brother to the first pair, while at 1000gns was Clary Participate, another Eskdale Lionheart son.
Then making 1800gns was the best of the Drumchapel pen, Drumchapel Platinum, a Kingledores Mighty Mac son. And at 1000gns was Lothian Paddy from Greg Laughton, this one is a Headlind Lackey son, bred by ET.

Then an ET sister to the champion, Clary Nasty Girl sold for 1050gns. A brace from the same home also made 900gns, again both by Kaiser Chief.
Making 2100gns was the best of the day from Glen Forsyth, Corra Nan, she is a Brickrow Lionel daughter. This sold to Ted Fox. And then at 1050gns was one from the McCrabbes, Ardstewart Norma by Ardstewart King of Speads. Another from the same home by Ardstewart Mr Bow Jangles made 1000gns as did another, this time by King of Speads again (yes the spelling of this is right, according to the catalogue anyway!)
Standing reserve overall champion was the second prize winner from the same class and this year's Royal Welsh interbreed winner Esgob Drynwen from Gareth Jones. This one is a Thrunton Virginian daughter.
Reserve overall and female championship honours went to David Smyth, Ballynahinch, with his cow Llancillo Hall Rosalinda 5. She was shown with her bull calf Fortview Governor at foot.
Taking the reserve male honours was Greenyards 1 Dougie from Robin Irvine, which stood second in the senior bull class to the overall champion, while reserve female champion was junior heifer Solpoll 1 Stardust F19 from the McMordies.
In reserve spot and just two points behind was David Hazelton's heifer Ranfurly Weikel 3, she took the honours at Balmoral, Armagh, Saintfield, Newry and Castlewellan and was also reserve to Lady Diamond at Enniskillen.
And in reserve was Willandale Admiral, a Raceview King son from Andrew Patterson, Cookstown. This one has been champion at Antrim, male champion at Ballymena and Enniskillen and reserve male at Armagh and Omagh.
Cognac, is ranked in the top 5% of the breed for both terminal sire and self replacing indices and is by Oldstone Egbert and out of a Dingle Hoffmeister-sired dam.
Netherton Focus is now destined for the Stirling Bull Sales in October. Describing his champion 
Next best was an 18,000gns bid for the best from Mr Wilson's own Strathisla flock. This was a son of last year's Edinburgh champion Strathisla Sea Bird and is out of a dam by Glenho Gurka, which is herself full sister to 48,000gns sire Strathisla Dylan Thomas. Buying this one were Northern Irish breeders Alfred and Norman Robinson, Co Down.
Then, making 10,000gns was Jimmy Douglas with a lamb from his Cairness offering. This one, a Fyvie Classic son is out of a dam by Cragoe Craftsman. The only lamb by Classic this year, he sold to a brace of buyers, H P Sleigh and Sons for their Wells flock which will be dispersed later this year and Gordon Troup for his Whitestone flock.
Selling at 9000gns was a Cairness Achievement son from the Proctor family's Conveth flock. This triplet lamb is out of a dam by Castlewellan Nutcracker and sold with an index of 2.23. Taking this one home were a duo of Northumbrian buyers, Hugh Annett and Sons, Morpeth and Colin Campbell and Sons, Alnwick.

The second at this money was a son of Strathisla Sea Bird from Barclay and Lucy Mair, Turriff. He is out of a dam by Meikleson Impression and was bought by Chris Holmes for the Rookery flock.
ADDITION
This one was forward from Jimmy Baines, Gisburn who went on to enhance his chances of retaining the title of Stockperson of the Year when sending out the prime beef champion for the second month in succession and securing the top price. This one sold to
Mr Blezzard then went on to purchase another Jennings entry, the third prize freshly calved heifer, a 27 litres daughter of Penn-England Garrison, along with £1460 for the first prize fresh calved cow from Derek Wells, Bradford.
