Iain Green, Corskie, Moray-shire, had a successful couple of days in both the show and sale rings, taking home the top female titles and big money in the sale ring.
His reserve champion female, Corskie Aspire (Lot 185) sold for the best money on the day at 4,800gns. This one had been running with Islavale Sabre and was guaranteed in-calf. She is by 10,000gns Kilbride Farm Tarrant and out of Corskie Spirea and has a TSI of +86 and a SRI of +85. She had a long journey home with her new owners, K C and P Hawkey, Higher Tregolls, Bodmin.
The champion, Corskie Acqya (Lot 183) was not far behind, at 4,500gns. By the same sire as the reserve and out of Corskie Raindrop, she sold with a TSI of +81 and a SRI of +78 to J M and J Goldie, Newbie Mains Farm, Annan.
Then at 4,000gns was an entry from Mr F J A McGowan, Incheoch Farms, Blairgowrie. Dirnanean Bali (Lot 219) is by Dirnanean Telstar and out of Dirnanean Tess and had been Ai’d to Rissington Grandeur. This one has a TSi of +66 and a SRI of +64 and went home with Patmore, Debdon Green, Essex.
Making 3,500gns was Sterling Samantha’s Beyonce (lot 205) put forward by Boddington Estates, The Manor, Cheltenham. She is by Roston Son-O’Barney and out of Sterling Martinis Samanthan and has a TSI of +52 and a SRI of +51. She sold to W and R Murdoch, Murroch Farm, Dumbarton.
Next at 3,200gns was Blair Barbara (Lot 191), an entry from Mr C Fordyce, Islabank Farm, Perthshire. She was AI’s on 24 December and is by Omorga Samson and out of Blair Rosie. She has a TSI of +81 and a SRI of +79 and went to Wheelings Angel Row.
Two then went for 3,100gns, the first of which was Beetley Beth (Lot 188) from S D Abram Farms, High House Farm, East Dereham. She is by Boars Head Volcano and out of Beetley Nina and sold to David Hyslop, Clydeside Farm, Biggar.
Next at this figure was Skerrington Rebecca 48th (Lot 207), a Omorga Volvo daughter put forward by W Young, Skerrington Mains, Ayrshire. She has run with Sowenna Aristocat from 10 November 2011 and has a TSI of 73 and a SRI of +77 and headed home with J Campbell, Bardnaclavan, Thurso.
