Congrats to the taking stock team on your perth reports so far.The original and still the best. All fact no fiction!

Excuse me but have you been looking at the same reports? Your competitors made you feel like you were at the sale while yours was like reading the fat cattle report at your local market, yes no comparison but the wrong way round

I must say, i can’t agree on that one! sounds like the others have few more contacts and are certainly on the ball!

Simtastic Whats wrong with a mart report, it tells you all you need to know the facts. if I wanted to hear bull and self promotion I would have taken myself down to the sales for the week.

Both livestock blog sites are doing a great job in their own style – why do people try to compare and criticise either? some cattle and sheep societies are also developing their own blogs for reporting from shows and sales – the winner is the UK and Irish livestock industry for the extra publicity it receives from having more coverage of shows and sales. People should take the positives out of the situation of having another livestock blog on the internet – well done to the girls on Taking Stock and the old boys!! great coverage of Perth Bull Sales at Stirling.

Completely agree with Robert. These blogs are really good so why criticise.

As for the comment saying its like a ‘mart report’, I for one really appreciate the way this blog reports the prices, i.e. every price is listed including the not solds etc. It gives you a much better picture of general trade, not just the few high priced animals.

I’m also really liking the video montage things which FWI are doing.

Thanks for all the efforts and keep up the good work.

champ – how does reporting manage to be overindulgent? never heard so much tosh.

spoton – as for origninal and the best think u may have lost that argument. it may well be the orignial but it certainly ain’t the best.
